I've heard getting the Excalibur 2 is a daunting task.

Also I loved just what you could do with your characters, my second favorite is 9, but I hate how it doesn't give you the freedom of customization that seven did.

FFVII is just plain great. Sure it had shitty player models over absolutely wicked backgrounds, but I loved it that way.
Man I loved the Cinematicy parts in FF7. I liked it when they broke out of Shinra HQ when Cloud was on the Motorbike speeding down some sorta highway (in the cinematicy part of it), then he comes to an end of the road and he has to fight some big Shinra Robot, lol.

Final Fantasy 6 for the same reason as Amn_En_Tarsath. But 7 was cool too, and I liked 9 more than 8 and 10.

I liked 7 because of the story line and the chocobo breeding, And I actually liked the characters in it. 10 Has Tidus whos a man RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO who cant shut up. But the best one I've ever played is Tactic followed by 7 followed by 8.

ok...FF7 was the best, FFX was quite good too, if only Tidus had had some balls -.- FFX-2 wasnt that great on the gameplay side, I didnt like the combat system & the whole 'dress-sphere' idea...I really need to get FFT, tho >.<

Seven. The plot twists were amazing...and the whole false reality and whatever was really great.

I just watched Advent Children - and now I have to go play FF7 all over again.

kekekekekeke mymy turn!!!

Overall Favorite: FFX (suprise suprise)
Only thing I didn't like about it was the sound (Music was fine though). The English dubbing must have been directed by a retard. Yuna's actor was mediocre and the rest of them really didn't match with their characters (especially Rikku's ). The Japanese version sounds a lot better, but since I can only understand about 1 word in 5 that wasn't an option.

Everything else I loved.

Favorite Character: Rikku (duh) Wakka was funny. Auron's character had a good "You're gonna get an asswhipping or a piece of cake and I'm all out of cake" feeling to him, plus it seemed like he was in control, which was good because I certainly wasn't. Tidus provided some nice comic relief, but when he wasn't funny he was a pain in the ass.

FFX-2: Graphics were gorgeous. FMV's were awesome, they were all wonderfully choreographed. Again, voice actors didn't seem to match very well. Music videos were way better in Japanese, especially 1000 Words - parts of the song sound like gospel, which really does not work. However, I really liked the Shuyin-Lenne story. The 1000 Words video was so good that it almost made me forget about the crappy singing.

Favorite Character: Rikku. I didn't really agree with what Square did with her character though, especially her costume and her hairstyle. Really didn't like Yuna's new character. She was better shy and quiet like she was in FFX, I think. Paine was an ok addition. I liked Gippal.

FF9: I didn't like it very much, but then I barely played it so I can't really say much about it.

Favorite Character: Well, I only played it for a few hours, but I'll say Vivi just cuz his look was pretty original.

FF8: I really liked this one, though it seems like nobody else did. Music wasn't as good as the other FF's, but still passed. Battle system was ok, again not as good as in the other games but passable. What really made up for it though was the storyline and characters - the time travel thing put me off a bit but I really liked all the character's stories, and Squall and Rinoa's characters. The ending FMV (not the credits one or the one after that) was one of my favorites.

Favorite Character: Rinoa. Though Squall was pretty cool too. So was Quistis. Hell, almost all of them were cool.

FF7: Unfortunately, since I didn't play this one until 4 or so years after it was released, the graphics didn't have the "Holy Crap" factor for me that it did for many others. Gameplay was good, music was good. While seems like everybody else loved the storyline, I wasn't paticularly impressed. I liked it, but I wasn't drooling over Sephiroth like everybody within 10 miles of me was.

Favorite Character: Cid. He was awesome.

EDIT: I'M BAAAACK!!! ^_^

I just rememberd why I hated FFX so much. In all the other ones before it you had a world map where you could walk arund and explore and stuff. In ten it was all set routes which made it alot less fun for me. Oh yeah and blitzball was extremely boring.

Blitzball sucked once you get Jecht's Shot. Boom boom win! Boom boom win!

I could probably beat any team using just Tidus, Lina, and Lakkam. They wouldn't even touch my goal. All I do now is screw around with Nap Shot and Nap Pass and Nap Tackle. It's funny swimming around the whole place without anyone bothering me.

I think that once FF hit PS... it went straight to hell. That whole 4 disc crap is bullshit. Then, why do there have to be so many movie/cut scenes... I didnt just pay $50 to watch a damn cartoon I want to play 100 hrs of RPG. Cut the anime out and add more content to the game. This game is so far away from what made it great... FF on the nintendo and FF 3 on the SNES are the two best, hands down. Less talk and more action. You all have forgotten what made this game great, the story and play, not the stupid cut scenes that suck up 90% of the space needed to make the game. The day of the 100+ hour RPG is dead. I still pull out FF on the nintendo from time to time just to mess around. Ive played some of the others, 7-9, and am happy that I didnt buy them. Even the ones coming out on the Gameboy are better than the PS ones. Thats sad.

I have not played any before 7, but i have played 7,8,9,10, and i love them all the same....they all have the Final Fantasy feel to them which only these games can give.

..nothing more to say about that, but for all you who dislike any of the Final Fantasy's should just stop putting lies in yourself because to love one of them you have to love them all...They all carry the same beauty within them.

You're missing out on a lot there. FF5's Job System? FF6 and 14 individual characters? FF4 and... um... spoony bards. FF2 and beating up your own characters to level up? FF1, where it all started?

Yeah, go and play them already. They've rereleased all of the older ones except for FF3 on the Playstation (and soon will release all of them including FF3 for the Gameboy), so you have no excuses.
